Released on = August 27, 2006, 9:20 pm

Press Release Author = Shawn Wickens

Industry = Entertainment

Press Release Summary = A High Five and an \'Atta Boy For Sale on Ebay.
Portions of proceeds to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Press Release Body = August 25, 2006 - \"There\'s so much crazy stuff getting sold on
eBay these days so I figured why not come up with something crazy on my own. Just
joking around I came up with auctioning off a high five,\" says native New Yorker
Charlie Balletto. \"People like high fives,\" he continues, \"So we\'ll help some people
out and maybe have some fun doing it.\" The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is to receive
20% of the highest bid.

Although a portion of the auction will go to charity, Charlie acknowledges that the
main motivation for the auction is for personal gain. \"The cost of living in New
York is outrageous,\" says the Midtown Manhattan customer service representative and
on the side DJ / artist. \"This way I can pay my phone and electric bill while
helping people at the same time.\"

Charlie is marketing the event as a life-affirming experience. While getting high
fived the winning bidder will also be told, \"Atta boy!\" by Charlie\'s friend and
co-worker Shawn Wickens. \"Growing up, my dad used to tell me \'atta boy, whenever I
did good in school or karate lessons or something,\" describes Shawn. \"It made me
feel good about myself to hear someone tell me \'atta boy. I suppose a high five and
an \'atta boy would make someone feel real good about themselves. That\'s worth a few
bills on eBay.\" The winning bidder will also receive a framed certificate and a DVD
of the high five and \'atta boy exchange as Charlie and Shawn are planning to video
tape the festivities.

The only stipulation is that the high five and the \'atta boy are given in New York
City, within any of the five boroughs or Long Island. There is also a one-year
expiration date on the high five offer, leaving plenty of time for prospective
buyers to plan trips to New York around an upcoming birthday, Christmas, or the next
annual National High Five Day which takes place on Thursday April 19, 2007.

The origin of the \"High Five Auction\" was an ill-fated attempt for Mr. Balletto to
auction of advertisement space on his forehead as he walked around New York City.
That foray into the world of online auctions inspired Shawn Wickens and his Magnet
Theater improv group to auction of their name on eBay, which went to the online
casino GoldenPalace.com for $1385.00. This in turn re-inspired Charlie to auction
off a high five.

\"Nobody\'s sold a high five over the Internet before, at least not that I\'m aware of.
Nobody\'s auctioned of a high five AND an \'atta boy. That\'s for sure,\" adds Charlie.
The auction is listed under the heading Get a High Five and an \'Atta Boy and
visitors to the eBay page can watch a video dramatization on the auction of the high
five and \'atta boy in action.

Based out of White Plains, NY, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society works to cure
leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin\'s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life
of patients and their families. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a member of
MissionFish, eBay\'s approved list of charitable organizations.
